Welcome to Olivia's Fundraiser
I am fundraising because Connecticut Children's gave me a chance at life.
My name is Olivia Belfonti. I am 15 years old. Before I was born, I was diagnosed with multiple congenital heart defects. Doctors told my parents that I was going to die before birth, and if I lived I wouldn't have any quality of life. My parents called my pediatrician to ask what to tell my 3 year old sister. My pediatrician referred them to Dr. Felice Heller, who told my parents, "we fix these all the time".
I was born full term, with half a heart and most of my major organs reversed. I had all my surgeries at Connecticut Children's. My first heart surgery when I was just 48 hours old, second at 4 months, and my final at 3 years old.
I am a sophomore, straight A, honor roll student at a local high school. I am very active in my school community. I am involved in: Student Government (class secretary); Blue Key Club and varsity competition cheerleading team. In my free time, I like to raise awareness and give back to Connecticut Children's by speaking at various fundraising events.
I am so grateful for everything that Connecticut Children’s has done for me. Please consider donating to my fundraiser as this amazing hospital saves children's lives everyday, giving them the chance to live a great life, just like me.
