You may have noticed that as the years go by, my running distances get shorter. This year is no exception. But my love for these patients (and my beautiful Christie!), my willingness to do whatever I can for them and my committment to raising awareness and ultimately finding a cure for IBD remains as strong as ever. So, although my feet will be planted firmly on the ground and I will be a "virtual" runner this year, my heart will be on the course with each and every runner, racing for that cure.
Donations, good thoughts for these patients, and hugs are all welcome.
The Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is an international leader in the treatment of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Every day, the center sees many patients dealing with the symptoms and the pain of IBD, patients as young as one to as old as 26. We see courage and bravery and strength in all of these patients.
All of the money raised by Team Gutz ‘n Glory (the IBD team) comes directly back to the Center for Pediatric IBD to support our clinical care, educational programs, and groundbreaking research.
IBD has touched all of our lives in some way. We want to help. This is one way we can.
I'm adding more meaning to my miles.
Your support will make an impact.
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center delivers cutting-edge treatment to pediatric patients across multiple specialties – but our commitment to the well-being of our patients extends well beyond the bedside. At Connecticut Children’s, we are continually seeking to improve and define the standards of pediatric care, identifying new and better treatments and finding cures for children’s health issues.
Every dollar counts. Your tax-deductible gift could impact a specific care area or provide support to essential programs and services. Your gift could help purchase state-of-the-art equipment and technology, help a family cover costs associated with treatment, or launch the next promising line of research.
Today’s investments will make tomorrow’s care even more exceptional for these patients and help make the children in Connecticut the healthiest in the country.
